Yo pple!

pai-seh for such a late post.. cause i went to my cousin's chalet with some of my friends.. it was generally fun lar.. :) i got lots of mosquito bites on my skin :x but i am used to it le ba..

i met some interesting pple during the chalet.. like the jin tai scouts whom i made friends with during my participation in the NPC 2005.. i saw Lance and wei jie... they changed a bit since then.. well, forgot to get their contact numbers..

anyway, i think it is time to pack the post-festive feelings, start practices and get serious..

there will be a ZingO practice tomorrow, same time, same place.. haha.. can't reveal too much... haven get permission to do so...

then events, to all ZingO-ians, there will be a BBQ at my dad's working place on the 3rd of feb.. to do belated X'mas,belated HNY and early CNY celebrations.. haha.. combine so many events cause we were all so busy during the festive seasons..

performance wise, i haven really gotten much details, but there will be one on the 27th of jan.. haha.. got more info then tell you ba:)

thats the information relaying part of my blog..

since a saturday a few weeks ago, i have been stressed....

why?

cause i have been notified to be come the instructor of YYSS.. although it is not really cofirmed, but i have been thinking of how to be a good instructor.. cause it is my first attempt being one.. nervous nervous nervous..

i have a few ideas on how to teach them..but i need to discuss with my shifu.. well, tat person is not choon, but my shifu for more than 4 years now.. he is Xjw lar.. he taught me lots of things other than just drumming.. you will know when you spend time with him..

idea #1 : start the leave form or personal attendance policy..
the name suggests what it really is.. but more importantly, it is to improve attandance.. i came from a group that attendance is only constant for pple who really like this form of performing art.. the others, left this performing art before they got to appreciate the beauty of it.. then they come for practice only when there are big events coming up..they are seasonal drummers and i don't like this kind of attitude..so i wanna maximise the chance of the drummers of getting interested in coming for practice full time.. only then, will the drum group not face the problem of having not enough pple for a job or performance..

idea #2 : Having two types of practice
the first type of practice will be the normal kind when everyone will practice together and learn.. the second type will be somewhat like tutorial.. the targetted pple will be those who tend to be slower in learning.. i myself happens to be the kind of slower learner..so i know the feeling of being the slow learner and how depressing it is to be blamed for delaying the practice.. so the tutorial is meant to improve the skills of the weaker learners and thus closing the gap in between the better drummers and weaker drummers..

idea #3 : creating my own score
this may jolly well be the most absurb of my ideas.. i don't wanna talk too much into it but i will reveal that this idea is encouraged by djw..
