woohoo! new year!

harlow! (using a different opening to mark the new year.)

blogging on the 1st of JAN, which marks my blog's 1st birthday. haha, to think that Nas is 18th already and 2 more days till PY turns 18 years old as well. haha, amazing isn't it, pple call it growing up. poops, all the bubbles of memorable teenage years are gonna float away and then come life. but then there's the other extreme end of birthdays ,those who just turned 17th. well, live life to the fullest, cause time changes everything.

yesterday is the last day of the year 2007, and countdown at Zhen's place isn't really your roller-coaster ride kind of exciting but at least it felt warm. it was just a simple chit chat, playing cards (damn hong yew for winning 'dai dee' EIGHT rounds in a row, until kai xin stopped his lucky streak) and looking at the computer screen for the 10 sec countdown. noting here that Zhen got a fabulous room with the best sound system i ever heard. boopers, i'm kinda envious, next time go steal. haha. joking.

then i was reflecting on the 'special' new year eve. hmm, was questioning myself throughout the evening; why is it that we make such a fuss over this day and behave differently from how we would normally. enjoyment? or rather is it to run away from the 'serious' work we faced during the entire last year? to sum up this syndrome, can i call it festive mood? everyone is happy abt festive mood, i should, but then i only had one foot beyond the line separating normal and festive mood. hmm, maybe i need a pull from the other self, seeing how couples behave.HAH. from my cousin in law, "for two pple to be together is hard due to different upbringing. for two families to be together, that harder." ok, that was random.

this festive mood arise expectation, expecting your other half to ask you out, your friends to countdown with you, your expectation to see the fireworks while being squeezed as well as squeezing others and the expectation of not returning home so early, but you still did. who sets the time as late you think?

haha, great expectation for year 2008!! woohoo. off to work already.

bye bye.

ps: i'm guessing this post sounds feminine right? whose the benchmark then? comments really disturbs.
