mentally exhastion

Yo PPLe!

first and foremost. A very Big Thank You to Ruo Han and Tony for the games and songs respectively.

secondly, i shall let Ruo Han do the ZingO Weekly while i do my own PLC of some sort.

slept late yesterday at 1 am plus to do my online assignments based on simple calculus. should just let us do the test in class instead. anyway, CCHY today is less filed with pple as all the CCAs have been temporary suspended due to the exams.

ZingO have an slight revival of man power today, the "haven come in a long time" pple includes Neo, Charmaine, Da Jun Wen, Da Vincent"hah-chufuck" (sry lar, keep sneezing today). however the last two names didn't appear for practice but for a meeting that i gladly skipped before i let my sarcasm loose from my mentally exhausted mind to my mouth into words.

oh not forgetting to mention, Sia Seh Seh, the newly bought Zingo member who is in my possession and greatly missed by Ruo Han.

waiting for 2 more weeks or so. for teck wee, Edvwin, Zi Ming and the Fu Hua drummers to join back the group from their temporary leave to mug for their O levels. must jia you hor these pple.

oops, turing Singlish.

Today's practice is generally ok, the score and performers for the Oriental Lunch conference is set and ready to go. On top of that, Tony's and supposedly my score is making some progression. well, it was supposedly partially my score as a result of the actions i spent time to think and seems to impress tony only. however, i do not and will not acknowledge that it is even partially my score because i "can't even play the actions [i] compose, noob ar, OUT!". well that explains everything for those who actually can relate to what i am referring to. well. i am NooB am i. for those who are kinda lost, never mind me.

it is depressing to know that even how much you do, without intellectual, you will always be despise.

even i do that. so it is a fact.

voidness

YO pPLE!

feeling much much better and the digestive system's engineers are back from their holidays. yea, that's good news for them.

then i got waste some time and money at bugis's arcade alongside with ruo han, chunn ann and tony. well, the place is kinda of big and the temperature is ok in there. i played percussion freak and a guitar game, which i forgotten the name le.

anyway, i am super lousy at percussion freak cause of the inborn intellectual of mine. but then the guitar game, i think i can train a bit. HAH.

then after that went to bugis to walk walk walk walk walk walk walk walk walk walk walk walk and walk. walk from bugis junction to bugis street and vice verse vice verse vice verse. ok, plainly, we wandered around bugis to do window shopping.

this strenuous activity apparently worn chun ann out and he started on a series of amusing acts that the other three of us brought it up from time to time during the shopping for entertainment i guess. one example is " SIA SEH SEH" which is the name of my newly bought 30cm manikin(it is a 'he' ok.) the SEH SEH is supposed to be 77th Street and the 77th is pronounced as SEH SEH by chun ann. and one amazing thing!! chun ann can predict prices of the goods in bugis quite well i must say. ruo han and tony can vouch for that.

whoots! but then he made another blunder by scamming me with a 40% sale in one of the shops that sells quality semi formal wear. it was a disappointing scam. i mean when we checked the prices, one shirt is $30 to $50 plus, if the 40% discount is on then it would mean the shirt will be on sale at $10 to $30 plus. BUT THE PRICE IS ALREADY DISCOUNTED. although the price is very much cheaper le, but then we still didn't buy any of the shirts.

thinking back now, it was a big error. well, i went to bugis with shopping feelings brewing from yesterday. then i came back empty handed. void feelings. haiz. think of it as saving money ba. left with not much in the bank already anyway. haha.

ok lar
got to go finish my online assignment.

Yu Jun

still lost who is xiiaoBENDAN, sounds familiar. and i tagged in the cbox?? must be a prank. HAH.

undigested oils

Yo PPLE!

due to the slimming diet, my digestive system is really distorted and slowed down i suppose.

other then rejecting all the food i ate after slight movements like walking and taking a bus, the system is really slow that the food that gets pass the stomach comes very much later and the food is not digested properly.

hearing from Chun Ann, Ruo Han and tony who have their motion as oils, i 'enjoyed' the same experience with a one day delay. the idea of holding "The Prom2016" at the private club is really off since they serve indigestible oils.

EEE

and i am feeling much better already, the appetite is coming back.

and the mental stress from the proflie of shi xiong is relieved.

was having an intelligent conversation with Julie over the topic a moment ago

from 'sometimes.. people act nice when the time comes and u need their help'

to later ' pple acting real nice until you approach them for help, they turn into grouchy pple or make it sound as if they go all the way out to help(positively and negatively)'

and finally 'understanding women in society: the working world ;women. they claim we do not understand them. but do they want to be understood?'

well, it might just turn out to be my research topic i think. haha

and julie, here's my essay i want you and others to read.. haha..
Mature with a childish smile

“Laughter is by definition healthy”, Doris Lessing, female author, once quoted. Well, it makes sense does it not? Laughter is associated with the pink health and when in poor health, a frown, is at the opposing end of laughter. You see smiles more on children’s faces while frowns on adults’ are more frequent. Judging from the expressions on the two parties, it seems that adults are not enjoying life as much as children are. Hence, adults should laugh more similarly to children to enjoy life more, to experience true health, and that is being emotionally, physically and spiritually sound.

According to a report by William Fry, M.D., professor of psychiatry at Stanford University Medical School and expert on health and laughter, a kindergarten student laughs 300 times a day on average. Yet, an adult just laughs only 17 times a day on average. After reading this fact, you might think that children are naive, gullible and ignorant and so they do not know the burdens of adulthood and issues of society, and further more they are sheltered by their parents. However, there is not much of a difference between the environments of the kindergarten kid and the working adult, there are many similarities. Kindergarten children have to face the stresses of school even at such a young and innocent age. They have to face a number of different classmates, and have to listen to their teachers and follow a set of strict rules that really contradicts their behavior of being kids of wreaking fun and havoc. Adults, on the other hand, need to work and they face the complicated challenges of dealing with colleagues at work, impressing and performing for their bosses and abiding by all those protocol and the works rules and regulation. In view of this, what then is the different factor that allows children to return home smiling and telling parents how much they have enjoyed their day even if their day was an ordinary one? Why is it so that adults come home with sulking faces, as if their souls were sucked out of them? The answer is “Laughter”!

Laughter might not be able to cure cancer and other currently incurable diseases or illness directly but it would definitely create a happier atmosphere that allows you to cope with the situation. Laughter has several positive effects on our bodies. Psychologist and doctors concur that laughter can increase our will to live and boost our immune system. It is proven that prolong negative feelings can cause diseases, associated with high blood pressure, strokes, arthritis, and ulcers. These are the diseases adults tend to face. Children on the other hand, are commonly down with fever, cold or other common illnesses, or family hereditary illness, like AIDS and diabetes, often different from the adults’. This certainly shows that laughter can improve the well- being of people and also prevent illnesses.
The average child is better at learning about things happening around them then the normal adults. Psychologists also agree that one reason behind this is that laughter also enhances our learning by stimulating our brains, easing muscle tension and psychological stress, keeping the brain alert and retaining more information. A case study once showed that children from dysfunctional families do not laugh as much as normal kids do, due to the problems they face at home. The case study also showed that they are slow in learning mind and they end up being less well off not only in studies but also in physical and emotional health. The empirical evidence showed that children from dysfunctional families fared much lower and few of them manage to earn a university education.

Laughter also has an effect on our relations with people. Let us re-examine the comparison of the children and the adults; adults have been very careful with their interaction with other people because if they throw their tempers on the people around them, it is often that the other party will bear grudges and the friendship or partnership is over. Even the two parties are matured, the relation will not be able to mend itself to the original state. In contrast, children are very loose with their words and attitude to their peers mainly because of the little effect of their words and actions on the peers. Although it seem childish for children to quarrel and “don’t friend you” each another over an insignificant acts, we must admire their ability to forgive and forget the insignificant incident and befriend each another again the next day, as if that the “don’t friend you” never happened. Laughter has the ability to dissolve tension, stress, anxiety, irritation, anger, grief, and depression and releases pent up emotions. Without the influences of the negative feelings being bottled up in our body, interaction between people will be less restricted and hence more effective to affiliate and connect with others.

Not forgetting to mention, laughter helps to accept the unavoidable and handles the bumps on the rocky roads like powerful shock absorbers of a car. In tough times, laughter is able to ease the tension of the situation and simultaneously with the effects of laughter on our bodies, it would be easier to stay calm and think of a solution. Unknowingly and often overseen, children are able to achieve this without realizing, for example, when being scolded by the teacher, a child will react by pushing the blame to another person. Although the reaction is not advisable and morally inappropriate, the method to handle the situation is correct, thinking of a way out rather than crying which might anger the teacher more. Adults, on the other hand, face problems and take the problem too seriously and tend to drive themselves or others up the wall. Laughter can help in our relations and methods of solving problems and without it would bring about the strain of being angry with another person or the consequences of the problem being left unsolved and perhaps erupt more problems then present already.

Some say that laughter is not the ultimate answer to illnesses and it is not all good. However, such a pessimistic view of life is rather cynical. Carmina, poet, once said that “A day without laughter is a day wasted.” Therefore we should strive to enjoy our life since we only live it once. Laughter may not completely physically cure but it allows the person to cope and research on laughter is positive that it can alleviate the problem.

Adults should learn from the young the ‘art of laughing’ as it helps them to live happier in their stressful work life and they will be more effective in their work. Getting through events in life alongside with laughter to a certain extend would be beneficial to the souls, as laughter absorbs the negative impacts of life and enable us to live more fulfilling lives, understanding what the psalmist said when they said that “you can see the face of God in the face of an innocent child”.
the end

Yu Jun,
hope you enjoyed reading, and for me, off to sleep and dream for ideas for research paper.

slimming life

Yo PPLe!

As a result of a mug of spoilt milk (i think) on Friday morning i started on my diet to slim down.

my stomach seems to be halved cause i can't even finish a bowl of porridge.

the taste of hydration salt is terrifying to me and i think that crushes the appetite for other fluids and food.

so the whole body feels weak with a 3 day slimming life of low food intake and if the food intake is excessive, my gullet will send the food out from the mouth.

on top of that, assignments are on hand and the brain is not really working well.

that's the reason you see me blogging here to get the writing engine started and hope i can finish the profile on shi xiong by today.

yea.

and yesterday, went to Sentosa to perform at a club named "one degree 15".

it's a private club with interior and exterior designs looking very 'class' and obviously very much better than the food they serve.

well, i just can't eat more of the tough fish and chicken after one serving, with my food rejecting stomach (i don't want to puke there and destroy the image of ZingO,which i think i did to Jane). my skill of sarcasm is getting better that i dun realise it at times.

and to think that i was suggesting to tony and ruo han that we hold "The Prom 2016" there. we dropped that idea completely after tasting the food.

HAH

and oh ya, welcoming Marc on his quest to join ZingO. well, he came for practice yesterday and it is said to be the start of his 'probation period'. hope he can do it.

Yu Jun

new skin, hope you like it.
looks kind of feminine, but wat i like abt is it's tint of class to it.

yo pple!

life is getting back on track for me,

i am doing my school work and sort of draining out myself.

and falling into the same situation of being a loner in no group nor clique in SIM right now. used to it. nvm.

erm, in the midst of lots of quizzes and essays to write so won't be blogging as often as in the past.

YJ
so it ends.

ok then.

it once again boils down to communication breakdown.

what a conincidence.

nth

yo pple.

actually, i dun have anything to blog abt. even lazy to upload photos taken over the last week til now.

erm.. then you might be asking why am i blogging. well the answer is that i am a little depressed now. i got 3 quiz to study tmrw and i am now slacking. hah! the perfect receipe for failing to get good results. it is so saddening to see myself in a fat body slacking time off, not doing 'proper' activities to improve the pathetic GPA of 3.5 out of 4! KEEP THIS UP AND YOU WILL NOT BE ON THE DEAN'S LIST NEXT SEMESTER! i will nee to get 3.7 to make the average 3.6,the minimun requirement to be on the dean list.

arr. enough of self-mocking, self-reprimanding, self-motivation.

anyway. happy birthday to kuku. sry i didn't turn up for your birthday celebrations. i wasn't really unable but more of relucant to do so. perhaps it is was too sudden for me. well, i was on my way to school or gg home when chun ann (who sees me like everynow and then) informed me last min. plus the lack of present and having class (class to me is impt and if the cost of pon-ing class ever turns into a oppurnity cost, the reason to pon is very huge and means alot to me you see.)

so like that lar..

bb!

ahah, gg to see anime le. then go sleep.

my life is so wrong.

YO PPLE!

it's the weekend le.

time for my weekly blog/website recommendation.

http://unisimmath.sim.edu.sg/index.html

it's a website that you can play with mathematics.

change the variables and you change the graphs.

recommended for pple who dun understand and hate maths.

you can learn gradient and y-intercept just like that.

right now very tired. today got clique outing. but then low energy so next time then post pics ba.

new OST, hope you like. abit too short thou. all 30 seconds. lucky got tony in helping me get the OSt.. HAHA.. THANK YOU TONY FOOK HIU TUNG!!

movie 'Hairspray OST' sample.

NIght!!

ta ma de!

well,

i need to vent my frustrations now. or else, i can't go bath, can't fall asleep and can't decide if i am gg to pon tmrw's practice, i mean today's practice.

well, as a gesture of couresty and friendship (even if asked to go home first), i got all the others to wait for our president[who is pretty much 'gay', emo and self egoistic(very)] at CCHY before heading home and what do you get when you in return for waiting for your beloved president who 'just so happens to be emo at that moment'? A scolding.

it's not fair, is it?

you act aloof in the midst of jokes and laughter( which you may be very much used to from the same pple who has been alongside for soon-to-be 5 years). then if we are too jovial to fit your mood of emo-ness, tell us lar. it's not like we won't shut up if we need the mood to be serious. then wat happens is that we carry on and you got enough of the laughter that contradicts with your emo-ness. and you blow up!

all i am saying is I AM VERY MUCH PISSED!!!

should have drank more just now. then the alcohol effects won't wear off quickly and the pissed feelings comes straight to your brain and heart right now.

maybe if i was drunk i will be irrational and go beat up chun ann. HAH

ok lar getting late.

gg to bath. and shall post the pictures and more info abt teacher's day for this shi_t_y day next time.

Tired and Pissed

YJ

i saw you today, nice hair cut and you should just come and pass me the wrong design shirt yourself. you are the one who is escaping.

new friends!

yo ppLE!

the start of a semester, means meeting new people.

today i made new friends ( considering the loner nature of myself, it is quite amazing ok).

erm the names are Christ and Eugene. Christ have a very strong handshake and Eugene looks like a mixed blood and has a very nice voice.

well, hope they will be my friends for the future.

then i overheard two JC students conversation. they were chatting abt one of their classmate. the particular classmate is described as 'the kind who you dunno well in school" and "after a few years with him, you still feels like you dunno him".. i think the description seems so familiar.

got to think of the topics for my research paper.. i need my brain and a storm to get those things out of my brain. especially my experience with Mervin.

i asked him wat he would think of when i mention business,

HIS REPLY WAS GALS!!

ok lar. gotta concentrate on those topics related to business.

YJ

ps. hope to see alot of old school friends tmrw.

Yo PPle!

Life is now up-riding for me. With that, stress level for this semester is escalating for me and I find myself repulsing stronger away from the workload assigned. However, I think I have figured out why.

1) My blogs seems to be livelier then ever and I am taking time to maintain them. on that sidenote, wondering if i will sort of end up like teck wee, being beaten on the streets with lot's of injuries. dunno how my parents will react. haha. sry tw,make fun of you.

2) I got a PSP to play.

3) the school just introduced a lot of free downloadable programs that contributes to part of my tuition fees(that's why it's so expensive). it ranges from 'Microsoft visa' to 'Microsoft office' to 'endnote' and some other anti-virus and anti-spy ware de software. Then I got to figure them out and dl the necessary stuff.

4) My sch also went more 'E' in the teaching system. got to go to various UB links (which can be seen from my link sphere) to get my homework, notes and do a lot of online test. Well, it's relatively new to me and getting used to it and it takes time off my homework time.

5) Then I got to attend the re-organized classes. then i am generally happy with all my classes except , ESL408 class. it kinda makes me feel out of place as I have to isolate myself to be attentive in class( even Mel talks in class from what I saw today).. Other than that, all the lecturers are fun and interesting and I know they can help me a lot lot.

6) Teacher's day celebrations are coming this Friday and the poly pple are having their holidays, it surely dampens the all saint happy schooling spirit and slowly enslaves the diligent self within.

7) Thinking a English name for myself. Lot of names popping in my head. Any suggestion anyone?

Well, I think all the distractions boil down to the new environment and the ironic holidays. Not gg to think too much on that...

i was browsing my files a moment ago and i found this from my mini project with sarah ages ago.

"Love is letting the one u love free. If the person returns to your side, the person will always be by your side .if that person never returns to you, the love is not yours to begin with."- Kenny Tan in YJC currently.

i dun mean to ask you to wait but instead, i really hope you can move on.

The weather is turning chilly.. Expecting more windy days!

YO PPle!

my blog recommendation for this week, Mervin's blog is a must check and make sure you on those speakers for the movie 'secret' OST.

then school is starting next Monday. got to pack up the rotting feelings and go school happily and walk thru a deserted Ngee Ann Poly. -.- . well. after next week, all the ploy will be free for their holidays le.. irony will be me starting school.

then new skin, new phrase in life ba. study study and drum drum. barrier everything else.

I WANT GO K-BOX!! faker has invoked the feelings out. JULIE HO PEI EN! of you are reading this, you are in charge of organising it. set! then we can hold our intelligent conversation.

then last sat, went to m'sia to see a cultural performance. well, the performances itself was slightly above average of the performances i see. the one thing that awed me that night ( other than the cheap and tasty sambal stingray in the hawker centre nearby), was the performance themselves. there were different groups of performers around and backstage crew and technical crew. however, they seem to be like one big family with little 'selfishness' around. Given the nature of the Malaysian spirit of self help( i conjured this up myself, dunno if it is only a hypothesis), they set up everything themselves, from the sounds to the lights and to the stage set-up. thus, many equipments were used by them WITHOUT supervision. i think that's how you really instill the sense of independence and not being spoon fed. well. basically, being able to work in an environment where you can venture into 'unsafe territories' and different groups of performers really cooperate together as a family rather than endeavouring their own selfish benefits will be comparatively more fun and enjoyable. well, that's my two cents of thought and wish.

it's late.
past midnight.
and i still have to go work tmr.
to S'pore Poly pple, happy holidays!
to TP, NP and NYP pple, bitter exams and happy holidays later on!
UB-SIM pple, happy studying.

Friday, 24 August 2007

oh well,

Yo PPLE!

i got a PSP v3.52 m33 (if i haven rmbed wrongly).. then taken alot time off my computer usage i guess..

then life was stangant for the past week til now.. cause it is the holidays ,when all your other friends are mugging to study for their exams you see.. thus, it was work work work.. the one who benefit was my dad, he got me as free labor.

then now my PSP no batt, so online in the shop for a short post..

well, to notify, i am a free man now. it didn't worked out quite well. it was all along an infatuation afterall, an emotion that escaped from my barried heart i suppose. well, it died. so the end.

had too much chocolate last night( 1 tall hot chocolate and 1 venti chocolate chip cream, both without whipped cream).. suffering the aftereffects now, abit heaty and stuffed nose. but i reckon it won't invited the death angel to come forth.

ONg LAi

oh well.

long time.

YO ppLe!

quite abit of things have happened in my life, well since my 18 days holidays started with the bang of the fireworks at marina bay.

well.. let's get started day by day.. dun worry, i know this is not my biography..

so i will post the significant stuff here.. actually, this is one idea that have been floating in my head for the past few days.. (IDEA#1)when many pple blog and complain that blog are boring and a waste of time, i beg to differ. a blog is boring only because the blogger choose to blog abt the boring things in their lives. for example, "today nth much.. usual routine.. sleep, eat, sch, home, eat, dota, sleep". well, isn't these kind of stuff boring? from my opinion, bloggers should choose the one or two events that made an impact in their lives to blog abt. likewise to many others sarah is a typical personal blogger and yet, she dun go abt making her blog dead-like. she talks abt celebrations, candies, troubles. short and simple msgs that comes to you directly. so, it proves that personal bloggers are not boring, so peeps who think personal bloggers are boring, think again.

oops, digressing abit..

okok.. my life(the significant stuff)
FRIDAY(10 AUGUST)

this will be like touch and go. watched SECRET at AMK hub.. met small Edwin, Russel and Norman.. 5 guys go watch secret, must feel gay sia. and the urge to learn the piano is on the rise. that's Jay's magic i suppose.

the story is neither new nor very exciting, but it has a high density of emotions in it that many other films lack now. even the US flims like Simpsons and bourne moovie lacks this. as the movies gets blown bigger and bigger, the emotional impact is used as a fuel i guess.. i want to watch 881, hope the emotional impact is there.

SATURDAY! (11 august)

in conjunction with the National day celebrations, i got myself sun burnt over the waist and fairly fair blow the waist. the aim, looking like a national flag with my mouth as the crescent and the 5 stars, well you can make that out yourself. a lot of different combinations.

we had our ZingO outing. having the usual tardy kings and queens around it mellows the mood of an lively outing. Singaporeans are actually easy to manipulate. momentary incentives are very much useful in the case of Dennis, came to the outing with a 'pull-factor' of $100. lol. wat we did on the beach was nth special. the special factor, similar to wat the S'pore govt prefer to use, is the PEOPLE! i like the crowd i am in.. the 12 ZodiACs ,excluding edvwin the boar, Eugene the hare and peng hong the k9,plus Janice, pliscilla and shi xiong went for the outing. the extra bit of surprise was teck wee bring his gf over, since it was her birthday.

without a doubt, the person who made my day was Xiao Jun wen. he came to sentosa with us playing, bringing the nostalgia feel back. felt as if the whole world was sheltered by the CCA leaders again. life was much more simple then. He also smsed me out of the random today. well he had slack time. the outing had it effects after all, i guess. it brought us together. but, personalities was once again shown. not finger pointing who, another level of awareness among us was created. we know each other's tempers and STANDARDS form long ago but then is it acceptable? (IDEA#2) different people have their different standards, standards of living, standards of studies, standards of etc etc. however, standards can turn off other pple around. for an egoistic person, the standard is for him to be the best. if he loses, he will find ways to make you lose instead, in acceptable ways, or not. a standard method of volley ball playing was actually made foul. well, the world must revolve around the egos. wondering if the world would be a better place without these egos. haiz, ultimately, he has the final say which really leads to muffled mouths and untrue voices. it has to do with a pinch of gayness and cauldrons of expectations plus bias feelings.

and i notice the other ZingO-ians have not blog abt the outing much. maybe it have not made an impact for them. only zi ming and ruo han mentioned abt the outing.

SUNDAY(12 AUGUST)

suffering from the after effects of the warmth for the nation, being converted by the SUN! well, it's Sunday wat. this has to be my own worst case of UV burn in my life, til now. my skin was like under prolonged combustion, especially the shoulders and neck areas. ouch! Hiu tung said that the sun burnt skin was a LCD screen and he could not sleep well with it.. we are in the same boat i guess. then the others did not escape the crutches of the mighty sun rays. quoting from wan, "it is heartening to know that there are others suffering like you.".this ain't the exact quote.

on two side notes, 1)two pple smsed me making my day and 2)teck wee and karmen both got C6 for their mother tongue. wat coincidence..

well, ending here for the night.

gg to rest for tmrw.

Yu Jun a.k.a ONg LAi
soon to be without The Trace.
